Active welding helmet ventilation unit

A helmet-mounted fan with particle filter that creates a slight positive pressure inside the helmet, preventing welding fume from entering the breathing zone. It increases comfort during long welding jobs.

Physical-Chemical Mechanism of Action

The active welding helmet ventilation unit generates a slight positive pressure inside the respirator helmet via an integrated blower. This positive pressure prevents welding fumes and other particles from entering the worker's breathing zone. The particulate filter traps fine dust particles to clean the air flow.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

Without an active ventilation unit, welding fumes and fine dust can enter the breathing air, which can lead to respiratory problems and health issues. This affects not only comfort but also work performance and the worker's well-being. An effective ventilation unit therefore protects both health and productivity.

Workshop Practice & Operating Instructions

To use an active welding helmet ventilation unit, make sure it is properly installed and the air flow remains constantly on. Regularly check the condition of the particulate filter and replace it according to the manufacturer's recommendation. An unfiltered or defective ventilation unit can lose its protective function, so regular maintenance is essential.
