Active shielding gas with carbon dioxide

A shielding gas mixture containing CO2 that chemically reacts during MAG welding to control droplet transfer and increase penetration depth. It is primarily used for unalloyed and low-alloy steels.

Active gas with CO2 content reacts with the material and ensures deeper penetration. This is especially the right method for unalloyed steels. Too much CO2 makes the weld metal hard and brittle, then it cracks easily. Use a standard mixed gas, which suits most cases. Ensure a calm droplet transfer and adjust the gas flow if it spatters or the arc runs unsteadily.
