Wrought Aluminum alloy

An Aluminum alloy optimized for mechanical forming through rolling, extrusion, or forging, characterized by high specific strength.

Wrought alloys are designed for forming from the start, not for casting. When welding, you need to watch out and control the heat well, otherwise you'll get cracks or the structure will suffer. Especially with the hardenable alloys, you lose strength in the heat-affected zone due to the welding heat. So don't go full throttle, but work calmly and evenly, and let the part cool down slowly. If you use the right filler materials and work cleanly, it will hold up fine.
