Aluminum-magnesium welding wire

A matching filler material for seawater-resistant AlMg wrought alloys, combining high strength values with good ductility in the weld metal.

Use AlMg wire when welding aluminum parts that will later come into contact with saltwater or moisture. The magnesium makes the weld stronger and keeps it more corrosion-resistant. Store the wire clean and dry. Before welding, clean the material thoroughly, otherwise you'll get pores in the weld. If you use this wire for normal aluminum structures without saltwater exposure, it's usually overkill – a simpler AlSi wire often suffices.
