Aluminum welding wire
A solid wire filler for GMAW or GTAW of wrought and cast aluminum alloys, with an alloy composition optimized to prevent hot cracking. A clean, low-oxide surface is essential for process reliability.
Aluminum welding wire is an alloy that must match the base material. Silicon or titanium improves the melting behavior and refines the weld, preventing hot cracks. Make sure the wire is clean and dry – oxide layers or grease make your life difficult and give an unclean weld. For aluminum, use AC current, and the wire should always be stored dry and grease-free. If the weld becomes porous or shows cracks, it's usually due to dirty wire or incorrect preparation.
