Brazing Temperature

The minimum temperature that the filler metal must reach on the workpiece during brazing or soldering to become liquid and fill the joint. It lies above the solidus temperature of the filler metal.

Working temperature is the temperature at which the solder is reliably liquid and can fill the joint cleanly. If you don't reach it, the solder stays sluggish or solid and the connection won't work – the workpiece won't hold. So you have to make sure the solder flows properly and fully wets the joint, otherwise you'll get cold or poor solder joints.
