Age hardening

Precipitation of fine particles from a supersaturated solid solution at elevated or room temperature to increase strength.

Hardening means: the material is deliberately made harder after welding or heat treatment. Tiny particles precipitate in the structure, making the material stronger. This often happens at room temperature or through heat treatment.
