Precipitation Hardening Temperature Control
Precisely controlled low-temperature heat treatment for the controlled precipitation of coherent particles to increase the strength of precipitation-hardening alloys.
This is targeted holding warm or slow cooling of a workpiece after welding – a small-scale heat treatment. It gives the structure time to settle and relieve stresses. This is especially important for alloys that you must not quench. If you don't control the temperature, the part will become hard or brittle, leading to cracks or loss of strength. So: preheat the workpiece properly, hold the temperature after welding, and cool down slowly – then it'll be fine.
