Automatic torch calibration

Sensor-based referencing of the TCP (Tool Center Point) to compensate for thermal wear or after wire change. It ensures that the robot adheres precisely to the programmed path.

Torch calibration adjusts the TCP (Tool Center Point) of your robot. The position changes due to thermal wear during welding or when you have changed the contact tip or wire. If you don't do it, the robot won't follow the path cleanly, resulting in porosity, an unclean seam, and the weld won't be properly strong. So: Always calibrate the torch before starting, and after every wire or contact tip change. Let the robot run the calibration automatically and occasionally take a look at the seam to see if the path is still clean.
