Automatic Wire End Cutting Function

A pneumatic cutter trims the welding wire to an exact stick-out length after the process ends to create defined starting conditions. This minimizes ignition errors during the next welding operation.

The pneumatic shear cuts the wire at a defined point via an air pulse. If the wire isn't cut cleanly, you'll have problems at the next ignition because the contact won't sit properly. That causes misfires or a poor weld seam. Set the cut position so that enough wire protrudes for the next weld point, and adjust the air pressure so the cut goes through cleanly without burrs. Check the blade regularly for wear and replace it when it's no longer sharp enough.
