Automated Torch Cleaning Station
An automated system using a robot to mechanically mill the gas nozzle and spray it with anti-spatter agent. This prevents spatter buildup and ensures safe shielding gas coverage.
Physicochemical Mechanism of Action
The system uses a robot to mechanically mill the gas nozzle and spray it with an anti-spatter agent. This removes existing spatter and prevents new buildup. The anti-spatter agent protects the nozzle from corrosion and ensures effective shielding gas coverage.
Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks
Without regular cleaning, spatter can accumulate in the gas nozzle, leading to irregular welding and poor quality. A faulty anti-spatter agent can accelerate corrosion and impair shielding gas effectiveness.
Workshop Practice & Action Instructions
Use the system regularly, e.g., every 24 hours during continuous use or after every 100 kg of steel welded. Mill the nozzle for at least 30 seconds and spray with anti-spatter agent at a rate of 5 ml/min. Ensure the robot is clean and can fully reach the nozzle.
