Automated Ultrasonic Scanning System

An automated ultrasonic scanning system moves ultrasonic probes over components and creates full-area C-scan images. It improves inspection accuracy and efficiency.

Physicochemical Mechanism of Action

The system uses ultrasonic waves to examine internal structures of components. The probes are moved over the surface in a predefined pattern while collecting data.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

Automated inspection detects microstructural defects, cracks, and deformations early. Misconfigurations can lead to inaccurate results, compromising component reliability.

Workshop Practice & Action Instructions

Ensure the system is correctly calibrated and scans are performed with appropriate settings. Use the software to analyze C-scan images and document all results thoroughly.
