Basic flux cored wire

A tubular filler material with a basic-based powder core formulation, achieving maximum toughness values in the weld deposit.

Basic flux-cored wire has a powder core that melts during welding and calms the melt. It's good for root and fill passes because it runs clean even with some dirt on the plate. Just make sure to store the wire dry, otherwise the core absorbs moisture and you get pores in the weld. For thick plates and positional welding, it's the first choice because it's easy to control.
