Capacitor Discharge Stud Welding
A stud welding process with an extremely short process duration that produces minimal melting through the abrupt discharge of capacitors.
Capacitor discharge welding is basically a short, intense melting of the workpiece surface by the discharge of a capacitor. You press the parts together under pressure, and the current pulse makes the joint. It happens so fast that the heat hardly escapes into the component, but acts directly at the joint.
