Cerium-doped tungsten electrode

A non-radioactive tungsten electrode for TIG welding with direct and alternating current, offering excellent ignition characteristics at low amperage levels.

Ceriated tungsten electrodes ignite cleanly and stably, especially with AC. They don't get as hot as pure tungsten electrodes and keep the tip clean longer. They're well suited for fine welding of thin sheets. Make sure the tip is cleanly ground and you don't use too much current, otherwise the tip will melt away. Otherwise, they basically behave like other tungsten electrodes.
