Electroless Nickel Coating
Autocatalytically deposited nickel-phosphorus or nickel-boron alloy layer ensuring uniform thickness even on complex component geometries. It provides excellent corrosion and wear resistance.
Electroplated nickel protects the surface from corrosion and wear. When welding, be careful: if the layer gets too hot, it burns off or forms pores in the weld metal. Therefore, before welding, completely grind or mill off the nickel layer in the weld area. If you don't remove the layer, you'll get cracks and a poor weld. After welding, you can have the area re-nickeled if needed.
