Direct Current Conduction
A method for generating a circular magnetic field in magnetic particle testing by passing high current directly through the component under test.
When you run current directly through the part, you create a strong magnetic field that responds sensitively to material flaws. But the current must flow cleanly and evenly through the workpiece, otherwise you get local hot spots that can warp or damage the part. So make sure you have good contact and even current distribution, then you'll reliably find fine cracks and inclusions.
