Compressed Gas Cylinder for Shielding Gases
A seamless steel or composite gas container for the safe storage and supply of shielding gases under high internal pressure. It is equipped with a standardized cylinder valve and pressure regulator.
The gas cylinder supplies the shielding gas for welding. If the pressure is too low, too little gas comes out and the weld draws air – then you get porosity and the weld won't hold. Too high pressure is also not good, the valve can suffer. So always watch the cylinder pressure and the valve, and if the cylinder is almost empty or the valve acts up, swap it out.
