Hydrostatic Pressure Testing
A global strength and leakage test pressurizing closed systems with water above operating pressure to reveal plastic deformations or leaks, serving as a final verification of operational safety.
We do a water pressure test to check whether your welds are really tight. You fill the component completely with water and slowly increase the pressure. It is important that all openings are tightly closed beforehand and the air is completely removed – otherwise you will get a false result. Observe the weld and the whole component closely to see if water escapes anywhere or if anything visibly deforms. The pressure must be held for a while so that small leaks show up reliably. After the test, slowly release the pressure and drain the water in a controlled manner.
