Electron Beam Gun

The core component for generating, accelerating, and focusing the electron beam. It operates on the principle of thermionic emission.

The electron beam is generated by thermionic emission at the cathode, accelerated in the electric field, and then magnetically focused. If the focus is off, the weld becomes irregular or pores form. Make sure the cathode is clean and properly heated and that the focusing is correct. Watch the weld during welding, then you'll see immediately if you need to adjust.
