Manufacturing Surveillance

Manufacturing surveillance involves the continuous monitoring of all welding-relevant process steps during ongoing production by the welding coordinator. It guarantees compliance with the specifications from the welding procedure specification.

Monitoring parameters during welding is key. If you don't control temperature, voltage, and time, you'll get structural defects like martensite or hot cracks, and the part is scrap. The welding supervisor must keep an eye on critical values like cooling time and intervene immediately if deviations occur. Adjust the process if values aren't right, and rather stop once more than letting a defective component pass.
