Flux Active Temperature Range

The specific temperature window in which the flux is chemically active, dissolves oxides, and remains stable against thermal degradation.

The flux has to work in the right temperature range, otherwise it won't cleanly dissolve the oxides and you'll get pores in the weld. If you don't control the heat, the flux will burn off or won't even activate. So make sure the melt doesn't get too cold and the flux doesn't burn off prematurely. Then the weld quality will be fine.
