Forming Gas Saturation Vapour Pressure
The physical limit at which the forming gas is maximally saturated with moisture, directly influencing the porosity-free formation of the weld root. Temperature changes can lead to condensation on internal pipe walls.
Forming gas can absorb moisture. If the gas is too wet, water condenses on the inside wall of the pipe. That causes porosity in the root and the weld won't fill properly. Keep the gas dry, then the root stays clean.
