Fresh Air Respiratory Interface
A fresh air breathing apparatus delivers clean air to welding areas to improve air quality and reduce the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Physicochemical Action Mechanism
A fresh air breathing apparatus forces the worker to breathe clean air. This reduces the concentration of carbon monoxide and other pollutants in the environment.
Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks
Carbon monoxide is a toxic gas produced during welding that damages the airways. Inadequate air supply can lead to serious health issues, including suffocation and long-term lung damage. A fresh air breathing apparatus prevents these risks.
Workshop Practice & Procedures
Make sure the breathing apparatus is always active and the airflow is optimal. Regularly check the condition of the apparatus and clean it if needed. A typical air supply of at least 20 m³/h per person is recommended.
