Torch Brazing Method
Manual or mechanized joining using acetylene-oxygen flames and external filler metal application. Requires high manual skill from the operator.
In gas torch brazing, you heat the joint with the flame until the filler metal flows – the base material itself is not melted. You need an oxy-acetylene flame, flux, and the right brazing rod. The flame must be set neutral, and you move it so that the parts heat evenly. Then you draw the filler into the gap once the flux has melted cleanly. If the workpiece gets too hot or you hold the flame on too long, you'll burn the flux and the filler will bead up.
