Structure-improved (upgraded filler)
A structure-improved filler deliberately delivers higher abrasion resistance and hardness than the base material (up to 58 HRC). The right choice for wear cases where a matching filler would be too soft — e.g. against glass-fibre abrasion in injection moulding.
Structure-improved means the filler is deliberately harder and more abrasion-resistant than the base material, to withstand wear the base itself cannot take. The classic case is injection moulding of glass-fibre-reinforced plastic: the glass fibre acts like grinding paste and immediately washes away a structure-matched surface — a structure-improved filler up to 58 HRC can resist it. The trade-off: polishability and often corrosion resistance are worse than with a matching filler.
