Casting Flux for Narrow-Gap Welding

A specially formulated auxiliary to stabilize the process and guide the slag in narrow joint cross-sections. It supports heat transfer and prevents the slag from burning onto the joint flanks.

Flux powder ensures that the slag separates cleanly from the weld pool and doesn't stick to the weld edges. It keeps the slag fluid and protects the molten metal from oxidation. Without the powder, you'll quickly have problems with inclusions and an unclean root in tight gaps. You simply mix it into the material before welding or sprinkle it into the joint, depending on how you process it. It's important that the joint is clean and dry, then everything runs smoothly.
