Hardness testing calibration block

A specially manufactured, homogeneous steel block with a certified hardness value for the regular verification and adjustment of hardness testing machines. It ensures traceability to national standards.

A hardness test calibration block is a steel piece with a known, certified hardness value. Use it regularly to check whether your hardness testing machine is measuring correctly. If the machine is off, your measurements on workpieces are worthless – you won't detect faulty welds or overly hard zones. Regularly take the block, especially after maintenance or machine modification, and check if the displayed value matches the printed value on the block. If it deviates, adjust the machine until the measurement is correct again.
