Hardfacing Consumable
A high-carbide consumable for producing wear-resistant functional layers on component surfaces. It effectively protects against abrasive and erosive wear.
The filler introduces carbides into the weld, which settle as a hard layer on the surface. This stuff is meant to rebuild worn parts or protect against abrasion. If you put on too much or don't run the parameters cleanly, you'll get cracks or the layer will peel off. So: use it for heavily stressed surfaces, prepare cleanly, and weld in strips to keep the hardness even.
