Brazing Melting Interval

The temperature range between the solidus and liquidus point of a hard solder that determines the melting and solidification behavior during heating and cooling.

The melting range in brazing is the area between the solidus and liquidus points. In this range, the filler metal is pasty, neither fully solid nor fully liquid. If you move the part in this state or don't control the heat input cleanly, you'll get an unclean seam or cracks. Let the filler metal run calmly and evenly, then it will distribute cleanly in the gap.
