Hastelloy C276 ASME Code Qualification Limit
The maximum allowable operating temperature and stress for nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys according to international codes, based on accelerated long-term creep tests and material testing.
Hastelloy C276 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy that really holds its own against aggressive media and corrosion. The approval for it specifies under which operating conditions you can safely run the material. If you exceed the temperature and pressure limits, the part becomes susceptible to stress corrosion cracking or creep and fails prematurely.
