Hot Isostatic Pressing

A thermal compaction method for consolidating non-ferrous cast and additive components utilizing omnidirectional gas pressure to eliminate internal porosity.

HIP is a process to close pores in dense metal. The part is treated under high pressure and high temperature, causing the pores to collapse and the material to fully densify. When you do this, make sure the parameters match the material – otherwise you won't densify properly or the part will distort. The result is a denser, stronger structure that's better suited for critical components.
