High-Pressure Water Jet Renovation
The extensive removal of old coatings and corrosion products from large structures using targeted high-pressure water jets. The process protects the base microstructure and avoids sparking.
High-pressure water jets mechanically remove loose scale, rust, and paint layers. The water acts like an abrasive, milling the surface clean without heating or deforming the base material. This is ideal if you want to weld later, because no slag or dirt residue burns in. Just be careful not to stay too long in one spot – otherwise you'll eat a notch into the material. And remember: the stuff splashes everywhere, so protect yourself and the surroundings from the water jet.
