High-Speed Quenching
Targeted extreme cooling using specialized quenching media to prevent undesirable diffusion processes and achieve the critical hardening cooling rate.
Rapid quenching after welding is nothing more than controlled, rapid cooling of the weld. This prevents the formation of unwanted phases in the structure or the migration of alloying elements, which can make the weld porous and brittle. Rapid cooling gives you a harder and tougher structure. It is important to choose the right medium for the material and to cool evenly across the entire weld. If you cool too slowly or the medium is not suitable, you will quickly have trouble with cracks or a weld that is too soft.
