Pulse current peak value

The maximum current intensity within a pulse period required for the exact detachment of precisely one droplet per pulse.

The pulse current peak value is the current that flows during a short pulse and controls the material transfer. If it's too low, the droplet won't detach cleanly from the wire, and you won't get a proper weld. If it's too high, the pool gets too hot and spatters heavily. Set the value so that you detach exactly one droplet per pulse. The right value depends on wire diameter, shielding gas, and material – you have to feel your way in and orient yourself by the result.
