Inconel Corrosion Resistance

The high chemical resistance of nickel-chromium alloys against oxidizing and reducing media at extreme temperatures.

Inconel is a high-strength nickel-chromium material that withstands heat and corrosion well. When welding, you have to be careful not to damage the protective oxide layer, otherwise the material loses its resistance. TIG or MIG with shielding gas is the right way, and you should control the heat well so nothing drops off or cracks. After welding, inspect the weld closely to see if everything looks clean.
