Inconel Weld Metal Dilution Ratio

Dilution is the proportion of base material that is melted during welding and mixes with the weld metal. Too much of it changes the alloy, the structure becomes different, and the weld can get undesirable properties. Adjust the filler material and parameters so you get a clean, uniform weld – then the mix is right too. Keep an eye on it, that's all there is to it.
