Inductive Brazing Energy Coupling
Inductive soldering heat coupling uses electromagnetic alternating fields for non-contact heating of the joint area. It enables short cycle times and precise heat limitation.
Physico-chemical working principle
Inductive soldering energy coupling generates electromagnetic alternating fields that act on the metal through a coil. These fields induce electric currents in the metal, which in turn release heat.
Metallurgical relevance & risks when welding
This method allows fast and precise heating of the joint zone. It reduces the risk of porosity and increases the toughness of the weld. However, incorrect settings or an inaccurate coil can lead to uneven heating, causing stresses and possible cracks in the metal.
Workshop practice & instructions
For optimal results, use:
• A correct coil with a gap of 1 to 2 mm from the metal
• Setting the frequency to 50 kHz for most metals
• Monitor the temperature in the joint zone and adjust the power accordingly
