High-frequency induction pressure welding
A continuous tube manufacturing process where edges are heated via high-frequency induction currents and forge-welded together using pressure rolls.
In inductive high-frequency pressure welding, you heat the material contactlessly by induction and then join it under pressure. This runs almost in one go; the seam is welded by the heat and the contact pressure of the rollers. If you get too hot or apply too much pressure, you quickly get hardness problems or cracks in the seam. Make sure the speed remains constant and the material is clean, then the seam will be even and tight.
