Calibration of Welding Power Sources
The metrological verification and adjustment of current, voltage, and wire feed speed to ensure precise process parameters.
Calibration means: the machine has to actually deliver the values you set. If the electronics or mechanics are off, the weld won't be right. The result is irregular beads, spatter, or poor penetration. You have to check calibration regularly, ideally with proper measuring equipment. Run the machine on a test plate and look at the bead. If the bead shape isn't right, adjust until it fits. The manufacturer's setpoints are the baseline, but in the end, what counts is what comes out at the weld.
