Ceramic Torch Nozzle

A high-temperature resistant consumable part for TIG torches that guides the shielding gas flow laminarly around the tungsten electrode. It thermally protects the internal power contacts.

The ceramic nozzle on the TIG torch is a wear part. It focuses the shielding gas around the electrode and protects the inner torch body from the heat of the arc. If it is damaged or dirty, the gas becomes turbulent and you won't get a clean weld. Just replace it if it has cracks or the opening is no longer round. When screwing it on, make sure it is clean and dry and sits tight, otherwise it will suck in air. The nozzle must match the current and gas flow you are using.
