Grain Refining Recrystallization

A targeted thermomechanical process for producing a fine-grained microstructure through controlled nucleation. This simultaneously maximizes the tensile strength and toughness of the material.

You get grain refinement through a targeted heat treatment, mostly normalizing. The structure is completely reformed, the coarse grains disappear, and a fine, uniform grain is created. This makes the material tougher and less prone to cracking.
