Force Torque Sensor Guidance

A force-torque sensor integrated in robotic wrists registers external forces and moments to ease positioning.

Physical-Chemical Mechanism of Action

The sensors measure external forces and torques. This data is sent to a processor that controls the wrist movements.

Metallurgical Relevance & Welding Risks

Incorrect settings or faulty sensors can lead to inaccurate movements, which can impair the welding process. This can result in incomplete welds or cracks in the material.

Workshop Practice & Action Instructions

Ensure that the sensors are calibrated regularly. Before use, check the accuracy of the measured values. If unusual movements or sensor malfunctions occur, perform a fault analysis and correct the settings.
