Copper-Nickel Condenser Tube
A seawater-resistant tubular material with high resistance to biofouling, utilized in marine heat exchangers.
For copper-nickel pipes, the best method is TIG welding with argon as shielding gas. The alloy is easily weldable, but you need to work cleanly, otherwise you'll get porosity in the weld. Before welding, grind the pipe bright in the weld area and degrease it. Let the weld cool slowly so the structure settles and no cracks form. If you set the parameters correctly and build up the weld cleanly, the joint will stay tight even in salty environments.
