Copper Welding Wire Alloy

A specialized wire filler metal for MIG brazing and welding of copper materials and galvanized thin sheets.

Copper welding wire is a special wire for MIG brazing, especially when you want to join copper to galvanized sheet. The wire has a lower melting point than normal weld metal, so you don't burn off the zinc on the sheet too quickly, and the seam becomes tight. If you use the wrong wire, filling won't work – you'll get spatter or the seam stays porous and won't hold. Make sure the wire is clean and dry, and the contacts in the torch fit. You have to match the speed and wire feed speed, then it runs. If the seam doesn't fill cleanly, it's usually because you have too much heat or the distance to the workpiece isn't right.
