Copper welding rod
A solid filler material for oxyfuel or GTAW of pure copper containing deoxidizing elements such as phosphorus or silicion. This prevents the formation of brittle copper oxides in the weld metal.
The rod contains additives like phosphorus or silicon that bind oxygen from the melt. Without them, you'd get brittle oxides in the weld that crack quickly. Use it for gas welding or TIG welding of pure copper. Make sure the pool is clean and flows calmly, then the weld will be tight and hold up.
