Short Circuit Transfer
A droplet transfer mode in GMAW where the molten droplet periodically touches the workpiece surface, causing a short circuit optimized for low heat input applications.
Short-circuit transfer means: the wire touches the workpiece, it crackles briefly, the droplet transfers, and this repeats constantly. You use it for thin sheets and root passes because you put in little heat. If you draw the arc too long or set the voltage too high, it spatters and the weld becomes unclean. Run the wire feed calmly and evenly, then the droplet transfer stays stable.
