Laser Hybrid Welding Head

Combined tool uniting a laser beam and an electric arc at a common process point to increase deposition rate.

In laser hybrid welding, you combine a focused laser beam with an arc. The laser provides deep, narrow penetration, while the arc gives a wider weld and more filler material. The whole process runs faster than either process alone, and weld quality is usually better. Make sure the two processes are properly coordinated. If the distance or power is off, you'll get spatter or an unstable weld. If the focus is wrong, you'll burn through or penetration depth won't be enough. Set the parameters based on the material and sheet thickness. Start with the guideline values you know from experience with the individual processes, then fine-tune. The weld surface will quickly tell you if the setup is right.
