Laser-MIG Hybrid Welding
The process combination of a focused laser beam and a melting arc column designed to increase gap tolerance and deposition rate.
In laser hybrid welding, the laser beam is combined with an arc. The laser heats the material strongly and creates a vapor capillary, while the arc provides the actual melting power and good weld filling. The problem is that cooling from the laser is very fast, which makes the structure hard and can lead to cracks. You have to coordinate the speed and power of the laser and arc so that the melt does not solidify too quickly. Make sure that the weld penetrates cleanly and does not produce too many spatters, then it will be fine.
