Arc Voltage
The electrical potential drop across the length of the burning arc, which significantly influences the weld pool geometry and bead width.
Arc voltage is the voltage that is present at the arc itself while it burns. It determines how the arc stands and how heat is introduced into the weld. If it is too high, the weld pool becomes narrower and deeper, increasing the risk of cracking. If it is too low, the weld becomes wide and flat, and you won't get proper penetration. So always adjust the voltage to the material and desired weld shape, and check it on the machine if the weld doesn't look right.
